Architect, Author, former Chairman of the Wake County Board of Commissioners, Storyteller.

Kenn authored an adventure novel entitled Blackbeard: The QAR Project. A search for the lost pirate’s treasure crisscrossing eastern North Carolina.

Today, Kenn is the treasure hunter, following clues to buried treasure, that gem of a story.

Kenn’s engaging style is filled with large doses of humor, facts, and analysis leaving audiences spellbound.

Biography

Kenn soloed an aircraft on his 16th birthday. He had to thumb-a-ride to the airport because he was too young to drive a car.

Soloing a airplane, but can’t drive?

Something about that bothered him. Clearly the government needed his help.

Today, Kenn is a recovering politician, having served two terms as a Wake County Commissioner, including Chairman 2003-2004.

In 2008, Kenn was honored as the National Elected Official of the Year, and is a recipient of North Carolina’s Order of the Long Leaf Pine.

A nationally recognized architect, Kenn has been elevated to the College of Fellows, (FAIA) by the American Institute of Architects.

Kenn is a long time member of Forest Hills Baptist Church and resides in Raleigh, North Carolina, with his wife. They have three children, nine grandchildren, and a 1949 Studebaker pickup truck.
